Erie Neighborhood House is a nonprofit organization that works to promote a just and inclusive society by strengthening low-income, primarily Latino families through skill-building, access to critical resources, advocacy and collaborative action.

 

The Community Literacy Program is part of the Adult Education Department at Erie. We offer one-on-one and small group tutoring for over 300 students annually who are reading at or below the eighth grade level. Tutoring sessions focus on oral and written comprehension through focused, one-on-one sessions with *qualified volunteers.   

*12 hours of training, 2 of orientation, and 1 of observation required before you begin tutoring.*
